Imagine a Sam and Max scenario where they get trapped in ice during a case basically stopping time for them (like futurama)

Cut to 12,000 or so years later, three bandits are looting the abandoned city of Alterna and come across (to them) what appears to be a bear/dog in a suit and a bunny stuck in a block of ice. They bring it out planning on either selling or using it as an attraction to generate money. Unfortunately for them they unplug the machine keeping them frozen and it happens to be the hottest week in the Splatlands.

Deep cut: *panicking because it could mean they probably unleash something that could destroy all inkadia, but more importantly they just lost a possible profit*

S&M, after the shock of sleeping for 12,000+ years wore off: “Well, we have been meaning on going on a vacation!”

A bunch of sketches and pen/marker doodles! Had a lot of fun drawing the inkling and octoling Yukis, which made me decide to post some of these other ones too. I don't usually post scraps and what not but I figured, hey why not do a big ol post for fun.

I actually really liked the results in attempting splatoon faces this time. One of my favorite worlds, very iconic art and music. If you haven't heard Splatoon music before, you're missing out.

Some httyd au sketches. In which Yuki raises a baby Deathsong. I can only imagine the others needed to be convinced on that one haha. Httyd species are kinda tricky to draw for me still, but dragons in general are a huge sp:in for me, have been pretty much forever, and httyd is close to my heart as well. If you are curious, in this AU, Kinjo has a razorwhip and mekaru's got a monstrous nightmare. Not sure about the rest, maybe someday I'll get into it more. I have considered writing/drawing for some of the other aus in my brain, because aus are very fun, but not until I wrap up some other things.

Speaking of aus, this one was after a Promare rewatch haha. I have a lot of little aus lying around in my brain I guess. If you're curious, Akane, Yuki, and Utsuro were all mad burnish members here, with them being in the same position as Lio, with Gueira and Meis. Meanwhile, Tsurugi's probably aligned with Freeze Force or Burning Rescue, but is actually also secretly a burnish too. Which I'm sure he handles in a very healthy and not self destructive way, ofc. /J

And finally, one last Yuki for the road. I wonder if I'll ever get tired of drawing DRA1 Yuki...? He's pretty much a sp:in now so hopefully not (and probably not). His hair used to be such a pain but at this point it's kinda relaxing, even if I sorta draw it 10 different ways lol.

Side note this is like the most non-pony art I've posted here in ages isn't it? I didn't expect for this to become a blog solely focused on my pony au but I won't lie I'm pretty invested in it at this point, art and story wise.

so theres the idea that the weresquid curse doesnt materialise all at once. It takes some hours to settle in and it takes a couple of months for other physical changes to set in like strengthened claws, acquiring claws, more ravenous hunger, stronger fangs etc.

the other idea was the idea of subspecies based on the fact that the curse is a combination of radioactive waste and magic and the last idea was ''hey whats the most basic fictional trait that radioactivity gives you'' and it resulted in this

woe, submas ggg au be upon ye.

soooooo uh. there's a lot to say about this, me and my pal @artisticwizard have thought up a like entire dlc-like story line. boy separation, boys reunition, the pokemon popularity poll canonized (in a way), etc.

i have more sketches lined up (hopefully) so ill explain more in detail about the au later. for now i'll explain the premise/start of the au below.

In this AU, the twins have been slotted into the premise/plot of GGG as a pair of additional gods.

Ingo and Emmet are the twin gods of transportation: arrival and departure, the destination and the origin, etc. They run a shared two-way train through the towns of the Grove, from BuzzHuzz to the Grove Cove.

Their god room entrances are in the two engine cars located at the opposite sides of the train, yet they share a god space from ascending together.

Additionally, their engine cars can only move forwards; Ingo can only move towards the Spire while Emmet can only move towards the docks. They rely on one another to pull the train back and forth in tandem.

One day, a letter arrives from King that suggests though they've always move together, haven't they always wondered who's the better god between them? Who can pull the most weight, who can run the fastest, who is the most popular between the two? Clearly one of them has to be the best god of transportation.

Ingo and Emmet, who love competition and challenges, had already exhausted most physical comparisons (with most ending in a tie). Popularity is new territory though. Sounds fun, so why not?

Ingo and Emmet host a contest poll for who's everyone's favorite god between them (only between them, because they'd be grossly outpaced by other gods like Inspekta), which is kind of Splatoon Splatfest-like in festivity. The mood starts off great, and the Bizzyboys are a great help with decorating and hyping up the contest.

Maybe a little too good. Over the course of the event, some people start getting a little too hyper and competitive. The poll is now no longer fun for the weird groupies/chronically online sub groups, and they're quickly ruining everyone else's experience. Eventually it gets wayyy too serious. The twins fail to notice how bad it's getting.

Eventually Ingo is announced the winner. Both twins are happy with the results; it's Emmet's groupies who aren't. Harassment between groupies escalates to the point that one day, while the train is waiting to depart from BuzzHuzz's station, someone goes and decouples Ingo's engine car from the train cars.

When it's time to depart to the Grove Cove, the train, unknowingly, leaves him behind.

Now Ingo and Emmet are separated on the two furthest ends of their tracks, unable to reverse and reconnect their cars. They remain that way for what seems like an eternity...

...Until one day, a new Godpoke arrives.

Harpy Shiver was interesting to think about. Since the myth is that they were sent by Zeus to torment and stuff, would the world of Splatoon follow that logic? If so, then there would have to be a god or gods to believe in (Anyways I’m gonna ignore it because this is being posted at 3am bestie). Maybe she could have been sent by some higher power for that reason and joins the other two along the way. Maybe gone rogue and abandoned her mission? Idk.

Naga Frye was sick as fuck bro. I was focused mainly on the au portion tbh- like her searching for some rare loot or whatever and choosing to help Shiver as long as they help with the treasure hunt. BM joining as the moral compass of course.

Werebear BM was SO fun to draw. The werebear origins I came across was from the berserkers of Norse mythology. Couldn’t tie much of that to the big guy so he’s just a gentle giant, now with more fluff! His demeanor wouldn’t change at all after transforming. With him being the head of his clan, his self control should be the best of the best.

you're so good at creature-ifying characters 'n I was wondering if you have any tips :0c

When it comes "creature-ifying" characters, the best way I can describe it is to draw like you're drawing a half human half anthro. Since that's most of what I do, I just draw half anthros

Some example doodles of what I mean. When I'm designing twst characters in my au, the things I usually keep without much change is their head (maybe adding some markings, sharper teeth and a more animalistic nose if they're like a feline or canine, etc), torso, and hips (same as the head in maybe adding some markings).

While for the rest of the body, I design them as if I'm just designing an anthro. Is the character I'm designing going to have cat features? Well don't stop at just adding some ears and a tail, give them paws, arms and legs of what you'd usually see on an anthro cat. (Ofc you don't have to exactly design them like I do lmao, you can exaggerate them more or less, it just depends on taste and what you like really.) and if it's needed, do look up anthro artists you like and study how they draw their anthro little guys.

It also depends on what kind of creature you're designing your character as, are they a goat? Give them hooves, horns, etc. A bird? Feathers, wings (on their back or as their arms either works), talons, etc. A bug? (Depending on the bug) Wings, more limbs, antennae, etc. Merfolks are their own thing really, on land they're just humans with fishy scales and fins and sometimes a tail even.

Most of my rambling is on how I design twst characters that I based off animals, since most of the cast ARE based off animals with a few that are more like mythological creatures.

I also like mixing fixations together, if I like a character and think hey I wonder what would they look like if I mix them with a creature from a whole separate series. An example of that would be Azul, Azul is an octoling in my au, like from the game Splatoon.

If like animals don't fit, you can also take inspo from other series that have a mostly non-human cast, like Monster High or Monster Prom. Since both series have characters based on either mythical creatures or just straight plants n such.

I kinda suck at giving tips or advice but honestly the best I can is if you want to turn a character into a creature, do it, you have free will and no one will stop you. You have the power to do whatever you want to in art and character designing aheheheheh

I can FINALLY show off my design for Callie in my Defeated AU! Meet Defeated Callie, or Titless Callie lmao

The premise is, more-or-less, exactly what it sounds like: the story follows the events of Splatoon 2 after Agent 4 is killed by Callie in Hero Mode's final boss fight, and Agent 8 is successfully blended during Octo Expansion. After successfully killing Agent 4, both sides retreat; Marie, hopeless on her own, flees to grieve Agent 4 and losing Callie again, and DJ Octavio and Callie flee to continue preparations to take back Inkopolis. Not long after this does Octavio decide he wants to make the effects of the Hypnoshades more permanent. What this results in is Callie undergoing a procedure that completely alters her memories and perception of the NSS. Her memories are tampered with to make her believe she's an octoling who fought her way to being Octavio's number two. To her, there never was an Agent 1, or a pop star in Inkopolis named Callie. Octavio also figured he could put Callie's agent skills and physical prowess to use, too; what this resulted in is, during the same procedure, Callie being turned into a living bioweapon. Her strength was increased tenfold, to the point where she can pick up and throw a car if she wants to. Her knowledge of how to wield a weapon is honed and perfected. She essentially becomes a walking Great Octoweapon. Her physical appearance and genetics are altered too: her tentacles, mask, and beak are changed to that of an Octoling's, and she's given top surgery and tattoos. For fun. Callie's personality is drastically different after this procedure. She is cruel. She's stern, wild, and dead-set on taking back Inkopolis. Fragments of her original personality remain, but they're twisted into something new and almost unrecognizable (for example, her hyper, energetic self translates into Defeated Callie being loud, boisterous, stubborn, and sometimes violent). After Agent 8's defeat, Tartar inserts itself into Agent 3, taking complete control of her body and using her as a vessel to make movement and world-destroying preparations much easier (in this AU, Tartar is the sludge on the telephone, not the telephone itself). Important information for the plot I'm going to explain right now: After her procedure, Callie and Octavio begin to get into disagreements about how preparations are going. Octavio is focused on tuning and improving the Great Octoweapons, but Callie thinks focusing on building up the army itself would save a lot of time and be more efficient. This disagreement gets so heated that eventually Callie...overthrows Octavio and makes herself leader of the Octarian Army.

Not long after this does Callie meet Tartar. Realizing they both have the same goal of messing with Inkopolis, they team up-Callie helping Tartar with its machines and weaponry, and Tartar assisting Callie with building her army. It doesn't take long for Callie to find out that Tartar has been stealing and sanitizing Octarians under her nose and wants to kill everyone in Inkopolis (she had only wanted to overtake it and "put inklings in their place"). She immediately breaks the deal they had, making Tartar vow to kill her, too. Callie is now set on stopping Tartar's plan, but realizes she can't do it without help. Not without the help of a familiar, grey-tentacled inkling. She goes to Marie, hesitantly asking for an alliance. Normally she would never stoop so low as to ask an inkling for help, but Tartar's plan threatens both of them. Marie is horrified at what the Octarians have done to Callie and how different she is, but she shoves it down and agrees to help, believing that, maybe, she can figure out how to reverse what's happened to her. From here, they work together to research, plan, and train to stop Tartar. They even enlist Pearl and Marina along the way, who have much more knowledge on the Deepsea Metro than either of them. As time progresses Callie begins to realize that Marie is having some kind of strange effect on her. She grows affectionate for her in a way that she hasn't ever been with anyone else. She starts to become familiar in a way that isn't simply recognizing her face. Thoughts seem to enter her head that aren't hers, and fake, dreamlike memories come to her of a version of herself that is so unrealistic. Perhaps most concerning is the fact that her body begins to feel so, so incorrect, and when she looks in the mirror she doesn't quite recognize herself sometimes.

splatoon au koichi

THE GUY OF ALL TIME!! thank u very much for the ask because up until maybe 3 days ago, I had absolutely nothing for koichi compared to the others' lore. Anyways he's a distant relative of the Onaga clan (markings and big ears), has his 3 eel companions (Echoes, Reverb, and Freeze) and only recently began battling after making friends with the rest of the gang.

He primarily uses bamboozler (middle-ranged chip damage + support for josuke + okuyasu's aggro style with wail (sonic blast attack!!)), but picked up REEFLUX (3-motif, supports a more aggro playstyle matching his character development) and uhh maybe Zimi (also frontline demon but support kit with mist being like act 3's freeze) and clash neo (idk he deserves chumps).

Also he listens to yoko & gold bazookas, I'm never wrong actually
